Summary


The Main Outpatient Department at Fairfield General Hospital holds clinics for many different specialities within the department and we are currently looking to recruit a registered nurse to the existing team.

The department provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills and knowledge across a variety of specialities as you are expected to work across all areas with support from unregistered members of staff.

Suitable candidates should be already in possession of a level 3 certificate or apprenticeship in health care related subject.

The service is look at running over a 7 day period. Therefore, there will be a requirement to work some weekends.

• Work within clinics as allocated by the nurse in charge
• Support trained staff by assisting in the delivery of care to the patient directly or indirectly
• Assist with some nursing duties unaided at the discretion of a trained nurse, following training and assessment of competence
• Communicate effectively with other members of the department team & patients and visitors to the department
• Carry out routine and specific procedures required for the day-to-day running of the department that require no interpretation where diagnostic results are produce
• Maintain good standards of cleanliness in the department
