Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within Endocrine Surgery for an enthusiastic and hard-working experienced clinical administrator based at the RVI.

The successful applicant will have good knowledge of administrative skills, a confident telephone manner, good IT skills, attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, have the ability to use your own initiative and have previous experience of working in a fast paced office environment. Evidence of a good general education, and a positive proactive attitude is essential. Previous experience of working in the NHS or within healthcare is desirable.

You must be able to work accurately under pressure, whilst remaining calm and courteous and be able to work well as part of a team.

The role will be challenging and very busy and you will be expected to work on your own initiative to organise and prioritise your own workload. This will require you to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the service.

• Editing clinics
• Scheduling patients for surgery
• Chasing investigations
• Making appointments and any other office duties
• Will provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical services to the Clinical staff and wider multi-disciplinary team.

• Working within a team of administrative staff to provide a comprehensive support service to Consultants, Medical Staff and other clinical members of their team e.g.Specialist Nurses and Therapists
• Communicates with patients regarding appointments and admissions at the request of the medical team
• Provide cover for Team Leader within your administration team as required
• Cover Clinical Administrator posts Trust wide as required.
