Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofer to join our Property Maintenance Team. The primary focus of this role is to carry out maintenance and repair to commercial and residential buildings. You will have a background in roofing but a willingness to turn your hand to any task that arises. You will also be required to be comfortable working with heights and demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Company vehicles and tools are available during working hours to carry out required tasks.
Responsible to: Property Maintenance Manager
Main Duties:
- Repairing or maintenance work on both commercial and residential buildings.
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare the surface for new materials
- Assist with the maintenance and refurbishment of properties
- Compliance with relevant safety codes, regulations, and standards.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, while acquiring new skills and training.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and provide timely solutions.
You will Have:
- A strong background in roofing
- Knowledge of different roofing materials and their installation techniques
- Ability to use roofing tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Physical stamina to work on roofs for extended periods of time
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and address roofing issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience of hand / power tools operations
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
