Summary

Your new company
Hays have been approached by a local school in the Wigan area to help them with their search for a Year 1 Class Teacher. The school are looking for a reliable and experienced class teacher who can come in and hit the ground running within this lovely Year 1 class. This school is rated Ofsted 'Good' and places an emphasis on pushing pupils to achieve their potential, which is also a quality the right candidate should possess. This role will be full-time, with the school looking for an individual to start immediately. ECT/NQT's will be considered for the role.
Your new role
In this job role you will be given full teaching responsibilities for the class, including planning, delivering and marking work to assess pupil ability. You should be flexible and adaptable and be able to suit your lessons to the needs of the children, based on ability. You will be working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the KS1 team to create a productive and welcoming learning environment. This year 1 class has a diverse range of pupils from different backgrounds, with various levels of ability. You should have strong behaviour management skills, but the behaviour and progression within the class is good.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have good knowledge of the KS1 Curriculum. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills. NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply for the role.
