Summary

We’re looking to recruit an Operative to join our ever-growing team in Barnstaple. Are you eager to help? Do you thrive off challenges? Are you continually striving to develop yourself? If yes. then look no further as this could be the perfect role for you.

At our Barnstaple site we offer a full-service wood manufacturing operation, with CNC routing, edge banding and bespoke CNC services, from design, cut and assembly, all to a very high standard. With its own sawmill facility, the site turns raw timber into ready-to-use components for items such as bed frames, garden furniture and bespoke projects.

You'll be responsible for producing timber components such as support rails and headboards or timber products such as beds, sub-assemblies and furniture packaging crates.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry/woodwork and is able to use various hand tools, automated saws, sanding machines. You must be flexibility, to be able perform multiple tasks at short notice and have strong attention to detail. However, we aren’t always looking for someone who ticks every single box we’re looking for someone who has relevant experience in a similar field of production.

You’ll will be based on our shop floor in a friendly and supportive team. The working environment is friendly and the work is interesting.

Key Responsibilities


Undertake assigned duties in a cost-effective manner – performing manufacturing tasks and any other duty as required.
Understand and adhere to all known policies and procedures. Seek guidance if unsure.
To actively and positively promote Seetec Pluss its visions and values at all times.
Monitor the quality of work produced in accordance with laid down procedures and known standards, report any quality issues or defects as soon as detected.


Skills and Experience
Essential

Basic knowledge of Health and Safety
Commitment to participate in agreed training programs and to gaining appropriate qualifications
Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards
Personal motivation to achieve set targets.
Ability to work as a team player and on own initiative as and when required.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the post and meet manual handling requirements with reasonable adjustments.

Desirable

Full driving licence
FLT licence
Willingness to work flexibly during busy periods
Empathy towards people with a disability and particularly their employment and training needs
