Summary

Role: Production Operative

Location: Barnstaple

Hours: Rotating shift (6am - 2pm WEEK 1 & 2pm - 12pm WEEK 2)

Pay rate: £15.26 per hour (£12.21 + 25% shift)

Acorn by Synergie are recruiting for a Production Operative based in Barnstaple to assemble a range of products in multiple areas to maximum capacity and to produce goods of the highest quality

Main responsibilities:

  • Assembles, following the established procedures and standard work Instructions fully satisfying productivity and quality standards, to optimum efficiency.
  • Setting and operating machine following the established procedures and standard work Instruction
  • Continually review to ensure all products manufactured meets the established quality standard.
  • Read and follow instructions on drawings, routings, and ISO procedures so that the work produced meets requirements in terms of time and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment to the company's 5s standard so that the work area hazards are minimised, tooling and gauges etc. are protected and presentation meets the Company standard.
  • Utilise all company provided personal protective equipment as well as other safety devices to ensure the job holder's personal safety is maintained and that others are no jeopardised by their actions.
  • With increased experience, will train other Operators
  • Undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required for the effective operation of the business

Skills and experience:

  • Numerate, able to follow written instructions and have reasonable literacy skill
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing organisation is preferred although not necessarily essential.
