Summary


This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, experienced, and enthusiastic administrator to join our dynamic and creative service. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) and Clinical Support Workers to support and enhance the psychological care of service users of Lambeth Talking Therapies.

Your usual pattern of working will be Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 with one day working 12:00-20:00.

We offer hybrid working with a minimum requirement of 3 days in the office. You will be expected to attend in person for induction and training purposes.

Our teams are based across the borough of Lambeth and all our bases have great transport links and are close to coffee shops and food markets for enjoying your lunch break. Lambeth Talking Therapies (LTT) is part of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

We are currently looking for full time only.

The post holder will:

Be responsible for providing a proactive, and comprehensive administrative service to a multi-disciplinary team, enabling the service to operate effectively and efficiently.

Be the first point of contact for telephone, email or written enquiries from the public, patients, GPs, and other Trust or health care providers.

Process web, email, telephone, or paper referrals in the patient management system (iaptus), gathering information from client’s file to ensure all data is as accurate as possible.

To assist with team base health and safety, completing monthly health and safety checks, following up on actions as necessary.

LTT is a well-established and successful service with over 120 members of staff. We are a friendly, creative, and sociable team consisting of administrators, clinical support workers, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, and High Intensity CBT Therapists.

LTT is part of the NHS Talking Therapies service. We offer talking therapies for people experiencing depression, general anxiety and worry, health anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, traumatic memories, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. We also offer help with other problems including living with a long-term health condition.

Working with people to reduce the distress and practical problems caused by common mental health problems; by developing and supporting staff who are dedicated to providing high quality, continuously improving psychological services to all of Lambeth’s diverse population.

Lambeth is a borough of high social and psychological needs with considerable cultural diversity. We would particularly welcome candidates who are fluent in Portuguese or Spanish (we have a large Portuguese and Latin American community), or who represent our black and ethnic minority population.

The primary purpose of the role is to support and enhance the psychological care of service users of Lambeth Talking Therapies.

The successful applicant will provide a comprehensive, efficient, and effective administrative service while managing appointments, processing referrals, and dealing with enquiries to the mainline telephone, email, or in person.

You will possess the ability to communicate effectively with patients with mental health problems as well as staff from across the service. You will demonstrate excellent knowledge of Office 365, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as excellent standards of written and spoken English. You will understand the importance of confidentiality.

This is a challenging role working within an extremely busy environment and it is therefore important that you are enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work under pressure as you will need to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, balance your work demands against those of the team, and be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the service.

The post holder will work within the overall framework of the team and adhere to the team’s policies and procedures. You will be supported by with regular supervision and line management.
