If so, then join our Adult Short Breaks Riverview service in Quarriers Village and bring smiles to life.

Your new role

We are seeking dedicated people who share Quarriers values and who can deliver effective support to people in their everyday lives. No two days are the same and thinking on your feet will help you build an understand and rapport with each person we support.

Being a Support Worker isn’t just a job it’s a chance to change someone’s life and help them live independently and achieve individual goals.

It can be the little moments like making a cup of tea and sharing special moments and being part of activities people enjoy. We don’t wear uniforms, but you must be prepared to roll up your sleaves and help with daily household tasks such as cooking and cleaning.

Being on time to support someone is crucial as they rely on someone showing up for them everyday and its important you take the time to get to know each person and build long lasting relationships.

You will see the rewards in supporting people from helping them put their socks on to a fun night bowling or karaoke but don’t worry we won’t make you sing!

As a Support Worker you don’t have to bring experience or qualifications, but bringing your life skills and values as well as natural patience is always a good start. We will support you with training and give you the tools to flourish in your new role.

What you will need to bring to the role

Compassion and kindness to support people in their day to day lives.
Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes.
Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
Good IT & communication skills.
Due to the idyllic location of the service a driving licence is essential.
