Connex Education is working with a SEND school based in Normanton, we are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis.
About the school
This is fantastic SEND Teaching Assistant role in a school thatspecialises in autism, ADHD and physical disabilities aged 11-16. This is a welcoming and inclusive school, where pupils encourage each other and listen respectfully to the views of others in discussions and assemblies. They are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with their educational journey and provide a safe space for all students with a range of activities available to students, including debating and trampolining, helps pupils to explore their interests.
Assignment Details
This SEND Teaching Assistant role is to start immediately, and due to continue until the end of the school year. As this is a part-time role, we are flexible on which days of the week you can work, working hours are 8:30AM to 3:20PM.

Person Specification
- Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs, either in a school or a similar setting.
- Be willing to provide personal care.
- Be confident in working with challenging behaviour.
- You must have a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one.
