To sustain and further drive up the quality of our placement experiences, and to continue to strengthen and provide support to the NMC Future Nurse SSSA implementation, the Practice Learning Support Unit seeks a Registered Nurse Practice Placement Facilitator.

The role is about being clinically visible, whilst planning and ensuring processes are followed as per NMC standards for education

The role will require the facilitator to work across all 5 sites collaborating with the PLSU team and Lead. At short notice applicants may travel to 2 or more sites across UHDB at short notice.

This role is a 6 month Secondment/Fixed Term Contract supporting maternity services with ongoing training to meet NMC requirements for the proficiency standards.

Supporting supervisors and assessors in clinical practice, whilst also providing training to the wider workforce.

Supporting students in clinical practice, whilst empowering students to lead and learn.

Working alongside students supporting them to achieve their proficiencies set out by the NMC, whilst following UHDB ethos and values of

Lead link for students and Supervisors/Assessors between educational organisations whilst supporting the clinical environment.

The successful candidate will need to be innovative, passionate about student education, and a clear understanding of the NMC educational standards (SSSA), future workforce plans.

To provide high level support and visible leadership to student nurses, practice assessors and practice supervisors

Implement the NMC SSSA training in support of the Future Nurse curriculum
