We are pleased to offer a temporary 12 month contract part time hours of 15/week to cover the Nottinghamshire Healthcare Community Forensic Care Group Intellectual Disability Service (CFIDD). CFIDD work with patients under the transforming care agenda assertively assessing and facilitating discharge from hospital.

The post holder will work collaboratively with each hospital and the Multidisciplinary team in order to plan and facilitate discharge from hospital. Application of clinical skills in order to address speech, language and communication needs of patients referred to the service will be required, with consideration of longer-term service strategy regarding these needs.

This role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that those with speech, language and communication needs.

A traditional assessment and treatment model of service delivery is offered to patients across Nottingham City and County but there are also opportunities for training, service development and audit. You would work with a small stable caseload of clients, building links with professionals, carers and agencies within their support network to have maximal impact n the individuals communication needs and differences. We would welcome applications from developing band 7s who are interested into a developing skills further. This post is 2 days per week and is a fixed term temporary contract for 12months.
