Summary

What you'll be doing: Provide subject matter expertise to the department and wider business Identify key opportunities whilst improving the process associated with acquiring goods and services Deliver upon the implementation of a new P2P system Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve outcomes Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation Liaise directly with suppliers, review associated terms and provide advice to the relevant budget holder to secure prudent relationships and protect the commercial interests of the business Deliver the strategic benefits identified whilst remaining sensitive to the business needs, a consistent supply of goods and services to cope with the pace of change across the business Set out supplier SLA’s to ensure that key partners are delivering the expected quality of service Build strong and lasting relationships with partners across the business What you'll have: Previous experience in leading a procurement function Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques with an ability to read the market and identify opportunities Aptitude in decision making and working with numbers and data Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with the wider organisation Experience working in a fast-paced environment Good organisational, business risk and financial awareness Attention to detail Takes responsibility Promote diversity and inclusion Live the values and behaviours of the business Be flexible, innovative and adaptable at work in order to meet competing priorities We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
