Summary
Fabric Engineer - Static - Birmingham - Salary up to £30,000 DOE
CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Maintenance Engineer to be based on a static site in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working with the maintenance team on-site, he or she will be required to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out PPM works on but not limited to the following; doors, fire doors, carpet tiles, ceiling tiles, painting, drains, locks and hinges
- Undertake any allocated jobs as directed by the Supervisor, Manager and Helpdesk ensuring that all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner
- Work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning activity across the site
- Integrate and communicate effectively with contractors and electrical, mechanical, and building services staff
- Carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms
- Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns, damage, and other building fabric requirements
Person specification:
- A strong fabric/carpentry knowledge is required
- General knowledge of maintenance works
- Formal carpentry and joinery qualifications
- Valid Driving licence
- This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
