Summary


We have a vacancy for Change Programme Managers within the Medical Care groups to focus on delivering transformational change projects of a considerable scale across Dorset, including (but not limited to) the following:
• The reconfiguring of the two hospitals in East Dorset, bringing clinical/non-clinical services together, providing cohesive services and improved patient experience for the local population,
• Development of the New Hospital Programme (NHP) in the East of the County with change management cohesion,
• Other operational change projects that support the reconfiguration of services,

Performing a change programme management role you will be responsible for the overall development and delivery of your allocated areas, working with the care group and project managers. Post holders will work in a busy and fast-paced environment managing change projects supporting the delivery of the reconfiguration of services in University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) in line with the Clinical Services Review.

Reporting to the Care Group Deputy Director of Operations, the Programme Manager will be accountable within the Care Group for the transformation activities and programme. This includes the
• New Hospitals Programme (NHP)
• Capital Programme
• Clinical Design and Integration Programme
• Service Reconfiguration Projects



The Programme Manager will be responsible for ensuring consistency of approach across all the projects/programmes and ensuring adherence to governance and reporting processes to provide assurance to all stakeholders.

They will also be responsible for implementation and delivery of their own specific projects/programmes which will include oversight and mitigation of risks as well as setting project milestones for the project teams, working to them to ensure delivery within relevant time, cost, quality parameters.

Stakeholder engagement at all levels is a key element of the successful delivery of the programme. The Programme Manager will be responsible for maintaining relationships will all key stakeholders.

This role requires: Educated to Masters degree level or equivalent
APM Prince 2 or equivalent

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth hospital, but cross site working will be required..

Interview Date: TBC
• Provide overall programme management of key deliverables.
• Working closely with the clinical teams and associated staff to deliver the required outputs.
• Take direct responsibility for the planning, implementation of programme and project deliverables, to time, within budget and to an agreed quality.
• Maintain direct links with other programmes and projects that are deemed to be interdependent to the programme.
