Summary


This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major national initiative, which is fundamentally changing the way in which psychological treatments are provided in the NHS in England.

We are looking to recruit 2 full-time, qualified Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CYWP) for Band 5 roles. The post is part of the CAMHS/Child Psychology team in West Lancs CAMHS

The post will be commencing as soon as possible

The main part of the role is to provide evidence-based interventions to children and young people who have mild-moderate difficulties with anxiety, low mood, sleep, phobias or behaviour.

Applicants for this role need to have: -
• A CYWP qualification from an accredited training centre
• Experience in providing low intensity, CBT-informed interventions to children and families
• Experience working within children’s mental health services

As part of Thrive transformation in CAMHS/Children’s Psychological Services, these roles are part of enhancing and increasing the offer of early, evidence-based psychological intervention for children, young people and their families.

The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high-quality, outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing, mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
