The Department of Urology at University College Hospital is looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Fellow for a 12 month fixed term post in the Functional, Restorative and Adolescent Urology team within the Urology Department.

The successful candidate will be joining the largest and most prestigious Urological Department in the UK. We are a highly specialist department seeing referrals from across the UK and abroad as well as being a centre for excellence and research. The post holder will start inOctober 2024.
• The Fellow will have primary charge of all patients admitted to the service and the day to day care of the patients.
• There are regular outpatient clinics at which the Fellow will have the opportunity to see new and existing patients as well as patients recently discharged from the ward.
• The Fellow will attend ward rounds with the Consultants and Specialist Registrar and will be expected to visit each of their Firm’s patients on a daily basis, assisting the ward-duty Registrar.
• The Fellow will write in the admission notes, continuation notes, discharge summaries and other associated letters.
• There will be opportunities to observe and assist and operate in theatre as directed by the consultant.
• Prescribe medications and diets for patients.
• The Fellow will be expected to liaise closely with the full range of multi-disciplinary teams involved in their care. Attendance and support for the weekly multi-disciplinary team meeting will be a requirement of the role.
• The Fellow will also be expected to take part in and present audit and research projects.
• The Fellow will also be expected to take part in teaching other staff, and undergraduate and postgraduate students.
