HR Advisor

Part Time 22.5 hours

LOCATION: Cannock

SALARY: £32k - £35k (pro rata) depending on experience

As one of the UK’s leading charities providing essential specialist equipment to disabled and terminally ill children, Newlife is
dedicated to making life better - for the families we serve, and for the people who help us to make that happen. Through grants
and emergency equipment loans, we ensure children get the vital equipment they need, when they need it, while our free nurse
helpline offers crucial support and information – as well as a listening ear. Our campaigns help to give disabled children and
their families a voice, even being instrumental in changing laws to benefit the families we serve. And we support adults with
additional needs with volunteering and employment opportunities, providing a means for career development.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will provide generalist HR Advisor support as necessary, including HR practice,
policies, procedures and employment law, whilst strengthening our employee engagement agenda. You will be the first point of
contact in all employee relations activity and document advice and support to the managers. Working closely with our management
team across both retail and charity to support the health and wellbeing of their staff and, heading up our absence management
(both short and long term), including managing Occupational Health referrals.

The role is 22.5 hours per week, which can be worked across 3 or 4 days to suit all parties, however some flexibility is required
in days/hours where there is a business need to change these. There may be some travel to other sites on occasion.

What we are looking for:

A minimum of 2 years generalist HR experience at Advisor level, you will ideally be qualified to CIPD level 5. You will be great
at relationship building and have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines. You will
also be highly IT literate, including Microsoft Office 365, HR Information systems and databases

The Benefits:

You will receive 31 days holiday pro-rata, health cash plan membership, team member store discount, pension scheme membership and
of course the satisfaction of knowing that what you do is making a difference!
