Our client is a thriving and in demand civil engineering company, who specialise in multi-disciplined civil engineering and utility works throughout the UK.

Working for recognised prestigious stakeholders in the Utilities Industry and Property Developers.

**The Role**

The position is key to the continued growth of the Group and will support in the continuous development of our bespoke inhouse software system with a view to marketing the product once finalised to other civil engineering firms.

The in-house system is web based and also app based for our employees and contractors to access the services via tablets or mobile phones to meet all of our operational needs.

The Software programme covers the Groups Payroll and Labour costings, CRM functions, Operational allocation of jobs, Operational Costings, Diary planners/scheduling, Form creation and databasing, SHEQ requirements, Vehicle allocation with views to expanding HR. This has the opportunity for someone to support, create and develop our internal existing product with adaptability for resale moving forward.

The role is office based as we work extremely collaboratively with Directors and Senior Managers and one of our USPs for clients is our ability to react to change and we need a dynamic developer able to react with us.

We require a talented developer with in-depth knowledge of PHP and the Taliwind/Alpine.js/Laravel/Livewire (TALL) stack.

**Requirements**


* At least 5 years experience with PHP and Laravel
* Good understanding of the TALL stack particularly Livewire
* A demonstrable understanding of the importance of developing secure systems
* Previous experience with test-driven development
* Ability to administrate cloud-hosted Linux servers and MySQL databases preferably in AWS
* Able to self-manage work using JIRA or equivalent project management tools
* Comfortable working in a shared office and liaising face-to-face with stakeholders
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
