Young Persons Recovery Worker, Hounslow

Full time, permanent.

Starting at £29,137 (Including Outer London Weighing)

Phoenix Futures is looking to recruit a passionate and solution focused Young Persons Recovery Worker for our HYPE service in partnership with CNWL. You will be part of HYPE (Hounslow Young People Engaged), a high performing service, that offers support to young people aged 10 to 18 (up to age 25 in some cases). This is a service that is open to new ideas and ways of working and you would be able to help shape the service for the better.

The role will be based at Hounslow ARC however approximately 75% of your time will be spent performing outreach work in schools and colleges with young people.

This outreach work will be delivering educational groups to young people and promoting healthy substance free living.

Some flexibility over start times is required, to fit in with the busy schedules of the schools and colleges we deliver sessions to. Core hours are 09:00 to 17:00 however it might be necessary to start before 09:00 on some occasions to be at the schools on time. Total hours each week will still be 37.5.

Due to having materials for group delivery, public transport is not suitable and a full UK driving licence and car will be required with business cover on your insurance. Travel expenses paid as per Phoenix Futures policy.

You will never be expected to transport clients in your car.

As an individual, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work on their own initiative, but more importantly, as part of a team. You will need good communication and organisational skills. Successful candidates will be dynamic and forward thinking with keen insight into preventative and early intervention methods. The ideal candidate will have and understanding of safeguarding and working with young people presenting with substance, alcohol and associated issues.

The Phoenix Futures Group has more than 50 years’ experience of developing and delivering pioneering substance misuse services. We believe in being the best and that is why we constantly strive to learn and innovate, to challenge ourselves, to adapt and to work together with others who can bring valuable expertise. Join us and we will support you to contribute to the creative development of our treatment and recovery approach to meet the needs of our service users, our commissioners and stakeholders. You’ll also have access a range of learning and development opportunities to support your personal and professional development.

In return we offer:

• Training opportunities and career development

• Opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal

• Employee Benefits and Reward Scheme

• Benefits including season ticket loan, pension scheme and life assurance

• 25 days (rising to 30 with length of service) Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays

• Access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance programme including telephone and online
