Summary


West London NHS Trust are recruiting a named doctor for safeguarding children and young people in. As a valued member of our team, we would like to invite you to consider this opportunity. The role of the named doctor is to provide expert advice and support to the Trust, ensuring that the best interests of children and young people are always at the forefront of our work. Your knowledge and experience will be essential in designing and executing policies and procedures that promote children's and young people's best interests. To identify and respond to situations of abuse or neglect, you will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and the larger multidisciplinary team. This is a demanding yet rewarding position that allows you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. The successful candidate will have a strong background in child protection and safeguarding, and will be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external safeguarding partners.

To be the West London NHS Trust's Named Doctor for child safeguarding, as required by Working Together and the London Children's Protection Procedures.

You will work with the Safeguarding team to provide expertise and ensure that effective safeguarding measures are in place for children and young people across all of the services provided by the West London NHS Trust.

To contribute to the safeguarding strategy through initiatives including education, training, research, development, change management at work, and organisational development programmes.

To participate in multidisciplinary reviews and work closely with the Named Nurse to provide specific advice, guidance, and safeguarding children supervision to a wide range of health professionals within the organisation.
