We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, innovative and experienced nurse to join our team.

We are a small team of nurses who work together to ensure the health of children in care is provided for those children who are looked after by Cheshire West local authority, or living in our area from other areas within the UK.

The Children In Care team are looking to recruit one experienced nurse, who is enthusiastic and hardworking with experience of working with children in care.

We are looking for someone who can work Monday to Friday flexibly, between 8:30 and 6 pm, and fit around the children and young people.

The post holder will spend time both within an office environment and travelling between service users and other services within Cheshire West and Chester footprint. Access to transport is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be a nurse who has a degree in specialist community public health nursing or qualification recognised as equivalent by professional body and with the appropriate registrations.

Support the Nurse Specialists for Children in Care in providing a safe and effective health service to children and young people in care within Cheshire West and Chester.

You will be lone working visiting children and young people in a setting of their choosing – at home, in school, face to face or virtually. You will be required to carry out an holistic health assessment and make any referrals or recommendations suited to that young persons needs.

You will have excellent communication skills with an ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments.

You will demonstrate an ability to work autonomously but will receive appropriate levels of supervision within the team.
