Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious and highly motivated individual to join the medicine operational team based at Colchester hospital. This is a great role for someone wishing to develop their operational management experience.

You will be responsible for the day to day operational running of the administrative staff to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the services.

As the Operational Coordinator you will work closely with the Service Managers across General and Specialist Medicine, to ensure effective operational management and delivery of key performance management targets.

You should demonstrate knowledge of RTT and have excellent communication skills, with proven experience of managing a team.

This is a fast paced and busy role, you must have good prioritisation skills.

Alongside management of the administration team, you will be required to support the senior management team to continually improve performance across medicine.

You will be accountable for monitoring and assessing on performance, specifically RTT, DM01 and Cancer. This will involve highlighting any issues and identifying appropriate action to be taken.

You would be required to attend relevant performance meetings and be responsible for ensuring patients have access to services within a pathway and that each component is met according to admitted and non-admitted targets.

Responsible for ensuring PALs are investigated and responded to within required timeframe. Ensure any relevant actions required following Datix/complaints are implemented and reviewed.
