Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Medicine Division at Colchester Hospital. We are looking for an inspiring individual to join our team.You will need to have proven experience at a band 5 in the acute medicine environment.

EAU is a 47 bedded & works closely alongside the High Observation Bay & the AMSDEC unit to provide a safe & effective flow through the services we provide.

This is a fast paced & exciting environment to work in and will be a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate if you have a passion for high standards of clinical care and an innovative and progressive attitude this could be the role for you.

We are looking for an individual who are keen to develop and deliver excellent clinical care. You must be motivated to drive forward & improve the services for the population of Colchester & surrounding area. In turn, we are keen to give you the opportunity to develop your skills whilst supporting you in your career development.

We would welcome candidates with experience within acute medical settings who are keen to progress their career within urgent care. You will hold a current professional registration; have excellent communication skills, the ability to remain professional under pressure and have excellent leadership skills.

You will be open to the challenges brought about by change and who are committed to creative partnerships. You will need to be responsive to the fluctuating demands typical of the emergency environment and show a willingness to undertake extended roles

You will require excellent clinical and leadership skills essential to fulfil the role as the deputy sister/charge nurse. We are looking for an individual who is keen to sustain and improve patient care, quality, and experience. You must be highly organised, with good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. It is vital that you have the capability and the ability to develop and lead a team within a supportive culture.

The main focus of this role is patient flow, to ensure we get the right patient to the right place in a timely manner, with the emphasis on patient safety and clinical efficiency whilst demonstrating high quality care.
