Summary


Contract Type - Permanent

Hours - 8 hours with various shifts 5.30pm - 7.30pm or 5.50pm -7.50pm working 4 evenings per week including weekends

Scarborough Hospital Catering Department requires an enthusiastic Catering Operatives to work mainly in the Patient Satellite areas of the Catering Department, but could be asked to work in the Main Kitchen, Dining Room.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to be adaptable and flexible, in order to work variable hours. You must be able to use initiative, be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal and organisational/time management skills,

Applicants must be able to work under pressure, prioritise their own workload and be able to carry out physical tasks.



Duties include,but are not limited to:
• Delivering food to and taking patient food to the wards areas
• Using ward ovens to regenerate food
• Keeping the kitchen areas clean
• Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP
• Washing up and other general cleaning duties.
• The role also could involve working in cold rooms to pick patient food and also working in pot wash.

The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised. Full training will also be provided. Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend.
