Summary


The Podiatric Surgery Department at Park House, Carlton, Nottingham is a well-established successful department carrying out day case surgery under local anaesthetic on a variety of foot conditions. It was originally set up in 1997, gradually increasing its capacity and staffing, providing a first class service to Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.

The Podiatric Surgery Department at Park House, Nottingham requires additional theatre support to help with an increased demand /waiting list created during the Covid pandemic. As such, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Theatre Assistant / HCA to join our team.

Working in a fast paced department with a varied workload you will assist our surgeons and Podiatrists in providing exceptional patient care. Your duties will involve:
• to play an essential role in the smooth running of our theatre and help us maintain our exceptional levels of care
• to assist the wider theatre team with the safe passage of patients through the surgical pathway.
• to work closely with the Operating Department Practitioner
• to ensure the theatre stock levels are adequately maintained and rotated with high standards of infection prevention and control
• chaperoning.
• clinically supporting foot care and advice

Who we're looking for:
• a dynamic and experienced Theatre assistant / HCA / footcare assistant with an ability to work in a flexible manner to meet the demands and needs of the service
• previous experience working in a healthcare setting is desirable for this role
• a team player with a flexible attitude to service demands
• NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare
