Summary
Estates Services is seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to join our dynamic Estates Directorate team. As part of the RCA Estates – Estate Management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the college's operations, events, and activities across our campuses.
Position Overview: As the Facilities Manager, you will serve as the senior Duty Manager on site, ensuring the safety, security, and productivity of our campus environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will oversee our in-house services, manage the Campus Supervisors team, and act as a point of contact and escalation for incidents on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of all individuals on the allocated campus buildings during duty hours.
Act as the senior Duty Manager on site, overseeing in-house services and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
Maintain appropriate site records to support regular inspections and internal audits.
Drive a zero-tolerance safety culture within the team and with all suppliers.
Manage and lead the team of Campus Supervisors, serving as the focal point for liaison with other aspects of RCA Estates services on campus.
Act as a point of contact and escalation for incidents on site, liaising with the College’s IFM Contractor and suppliers to maintain safety and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
HND / HNC in a Facilities Management related discipline, or IWFM Level 4 / CIPFA / NEBOSH National General Certificate.
First Aid qualification.
Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
