Do you have experience in leading and managing inclusive research projects? Do you enjoy carrying out fieldwork and analysing data? If so, we could have just the role for you!
Mencap are embarking on an exciting new programme of research to understand transport barriers and their impact on people with a learning disability in the UK. We want to know what good practices or solutions exist and provide actionable insights into what we can do to improve the transport experiences for people with a learning disability.
We are recruiting a Research Lead to manage this programme, on a full time (37.5 hours per week) fixed term contract for the next 15 months and we offer flexible working arrangements. Travel will be required to our London office on a monthly basis, as well as travel to various locations where needed for fieldwork.
What will you do as a Research Lead?

- running a national survey, undertaking interviews, and using creative methods such as video journeys with participants
- design and deliver research plans and communicate complex research findings to a range of audiences
- you will have a passion for participatory and inclusive research methods, as a key part of the role is working closely with people with a learning disability to co-produce research
