We are recruiting for a Relief Me Time Facilitator. In this role you will be a valued colleague in the Me Time Team, you will be flexible and committed to supporting people in a range of community settings.
Me Time is Mencap’s social inclusion, leisure, and community-based programme. It supports people with a learning disability to develop skills and confidence, expand their networks, and be fully included in their local community.
Me Time programme provide a range of support working alongside people, through activities as well as support for people to access local opportunities.
People with a learning disability steer the activities they are interested in, like arts & crafts, gardening, drama, sports, cooking & baking, and ICT skills. This give everyone the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, make, and maintain friendships and be part of a fantastic local community.
As a Relief Facilitator you will be a valued colleague in the Me Time Team, in this role, you will be flexible and committed to supporting people.
Key responsibilities:

- Has an active and positive colleague contribution by providing ideas and solutions to improve individual and team performance.
- Ensure the plans we put in place for the people we support are person centred and the person is fully involved in all aspect of the planning and review process.
- Being able to be creative, dynamic, and adaptable to potential challenging scenarios in relation to the needs of the people we support.
- Complete all paperwork requirements in a timely manner and ensure high quality reporting and recording.
- Communicate with the people being always supported with dignity and respect.
- To be able to build a rapport with not only the people we support but the wider community including family members.
- Work in a way that enables the people supported to make decisions and choices and allow them to access new opportunities in line with the life they want to lead.
