The role

We have learners who need you to make a difference to their lives now; this is your opportunity to provide meaningful, holistic support to individuals referred to us that are outside of mainstream provision and demonstrate significant difficulty in communicating verbally. You will look to support a small group of four non verbal siblings working at primary level in core subjects, for up to 20+ hours a week in their own home. For this placement will emphasise commmunication in their approach to tuition, providing structured activities designed to engage learners with sensory processing difficulties.

Our ideal tutor would also have experience knowledge of the following:
- Makaton/PECS (3 out of the 4 learners are non-verbal, with one speaking a few words)
- Experienced in supporting learners with moderate/severe learning difficulties in addition to those that have difficulty communicating
- Knowledge accomodating learners with ASD/ADHD/SEMH/Behavioural concerns

Your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving our referred learner's self-confidence and subject knowledge, ultimately becoming a positive influence during their journey throughout education. If you're a passionate teacher or tutor who would relish the opportunity to engage these learners in education, then we'd love to welcome you into our tutoring community.

- Monitor your learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure your learner's academic success.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

What we offer
- Competitive weekly renumeration through PAYE.
- Control over your workload; flexible roles that fit around your existing commitments and availability.
- Ongoing training opportunities that count towards your CPD and provide insight into working with SEN learners.
- A dedicated Tuition Consultant who will work closely with you to ensure you have as much work as you are able to fulfil, matching you to opportunities that meet your preferences.

Requirements
- Bachelor's level degree.
- Minimum 6 months teaching/tutoring experience within the UK.
- Previous experience and passion for working with learners demonstrating SEN, SEMH learning needs.
