What is the Role?
As a domestic pricing analyst, you will help shape the products that we deliver to our customers to help them on their net zero journey. This will involve understanding the costs incurred supplying electricity and gas to our domestic customers along with the pricing strategies required to promote loyalty and to bring in new customers.
A typical day might involve reviewing the wholesale energy markets to understand how current market prices may impact the price that we need to charge our customers.
- Calculating the profitability of our current product offerings, such as smart time of use tariffs, solar export rates or dual fuel bundles.
- Analysing the product offering of our competitors in the market to understand if we need to change our pricing strategy or product offering.
- Reviewing the assumptions in our customer lifecycle value model such as likelihood to renew, contract for additional product, or request support.
- This role will give the successful candidate an excellent understanding of the domestic retail markets across Ireland along with an appreciation of the end-to-end business processes required to deliver energy to hundreds of thousands of domestic customers.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to be:
- commercially minded and comfortable navigating your way around Excel, building Power BI dashboards or working with large amounts of data.
- a keen problem solver, who is willing to develop a comprehensive understanding of the retail market and the systems that Airtricity use to deliver for our customers.
There is no requirement for previous experience in the energy industry, however relevant experience would be welcomed.
