Summary


JOB ADVERT – BAND 2 RECEPTIONIST – 18 HOURS PER WEEK – FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 12 MONTHS

We are currently looking for a Receptionist who excels in customer service, has strong communication skills and team spirit to work on a busy mental health in-patient reception, based at Pendleview, Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Hours of work are 18 hours per week – on a rota basis – Reception is covered 7 days a week including bank holidays 7am – 9pm.

The role requires organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload

Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential – training for in house systems will be given.

You will be meeting and greeting visitors and service users, dealing with telephone calls, issuing swipes and alarms to staff/visitors, dealing with the post along with other general office duties.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

The post holder will be organised, professional, committed and will assist in providing a high standard, quality reception service within designated base.

The post holder will have knowledge of relevant customer service procedures applicable to this role. Problem solving is an integral part of the role.

The role will involve contact on a daily basis with a wide range of people – both internal and external to the organisation and therefore requires a confident approach. The post holder will need to be a team player with very strong communication skills.

The post holder will work flexibly in response to the needs of the service providing cover to various sites as directed by their line manager to ensure continuity of service provision.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
