Summary Of The Role

Due to the continued growth of our accounts, we are looking for an Employee Relations Adviser to join our dedicated and specialist team. This team is responsible for providing high quality Employee Relations services to people managers, on all employee matters from basic to complex and highly sensitive, ensuring that employee relations issues are acted upon in a thorough, consistent, equitable and pro-active manner.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing advice and guidance on all people-related and employment queries, through looking at the interpretation and application of policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice to achieve equitable and commercial solutions.
  • Assisting in the development and analysis of company policies and procedures to ensure the business can pro-actively respond to issues which may otherwise adversely affect the company or individuals.
  • Providing technical expertise to all managers and the People function, to support business change including TUPE transfers, re-organisation, restructures, harmonisation and People initiatives as required.
  • Identifying and communicating issues and risks, including financial, to the business and, where necessary, escalate these to the Strategic People Partner and ER Manager, or further to the Head of Employee Relations & People Operations, where appropriate, to ensure prompt and effective actions can be taken to find appropriate solutions.
  • Promoting a positive ER climate through delivery of service that is accessible to all managers.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience with end-to-end Employee Relations.
  • Strong employment law knowledge, with an ability to provide commercial solutions.
  • Skills with coaching, supporting, challenging and influencing thoughts and actions to negotiate a sensitive, pragmatic and commercially focused resolution to queries, risks and issues.
  • Ability to use data insight to drive position outcomes.
  • Experience with handling settlement agreements.
