Summary

Job title: Personal Assistant
Location: Lampeter
Hours of work: Weekends only in term time but negotiable hours in school holidays.
6 hours term time 12 hours school holidays.

Rate of pay: £12 per hour with expenses and mileage while on duty.

Introduction: I am a 11-year-old who needs some help please. I have ADHD and a working diagnosis of Autism – the applicant would therefore need to have knowledge or experience in these areas. I am well behaved, and my peers say I am nice and friendly.

This role is for weekends as I am too tired after school. Maybe in the school holidays we can do things as well. I would prefer a man if possible.

Main Duties: The applicant would need to be interested in activities such as biking, going on his scooter, basketball, swimming, going to the skate park, cooking and computer games.

The applicant would also have a role in building on my self-esteem and confidence and independence and with this helping him to use/access public transport, as well as trying new activities and interests. In addition to this, the applicant would have a role in helping me to establish new friendships.

Due to his condition, he requires someone with patience and understanding, who can coax him to do things rather than demand he complete tasks and take time to explain the reason for having to do things.

Assist him to engage in hobbies, sport, having adventures as well as visiting cafes and social events.

Support him to develop his confidence and independence.

. Being able to drive is desirable but is NOT essential – the right applicant is more important.
A full driving license would be needed with business use on your insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours.

Wages will be paid in arrears on a 4 weekly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
