Summary

We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Estimator to join our facilities management company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate estimates for M&E projects, including installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of mechanical and electrical equipment. The M&E Estimator will work closely with the business development team, project managers, and engineers to develop and present detailed proposals and cost estimates to clients.

Responsibilities

Analyse project requirements and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for M&E projects, including installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather relevant information necessary for accurate cost estimation.
Develop and present detailed proposals, including cost estimates, project timelines, and scope of work, to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for equipment, materials, and services.
Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support and guidance during the bidding process.
Assist in the preparation of bid packages, including technical specifications and drawings.
Review and analyse bids received from subcontractors and vendors.
Participate in project meetings and provide ongoing support to the project team as needed.

Experience & Skills

Experience in M&E cost estimating, preferably in the facilities management industry.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites.

Working hours 37.5 hours Monday - Friday: 8am - 4pm / 8.30am - 4.30pm / 9am - 5pm
