Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Nurse seeking to undertake a highly rewarding team leadership role in this multifaceted team providing continuing healthcare assessments, complex equipment support and complex needs nursing services to the children and young people in Lancashire.

This team leader role will take responsibility for the clinical leadership and first line management for the CCCAT as well as responsibility for leading on partnership working with the AACHC ICB team and tertiary centres.

This post provides the opportunity for a forward thinking and experienced Paediatric Nurse with extensive clinical skills/knowledge in children’s complex physical needs to co-ordinate a team of Health Care Support Workers, Administration staff and Senior Nurses in delivering health needs assessments and community support.

The post holder will ensure a high quality and timely service which is safe and supportive when meeting the needs of the child/young person and their family. They will be responsible for the clinical governance, quality improvement and performance management of the team and will provide management supervision to team members and ensure that staff in the team have opportunities for continuing professional development.

The role also involves being supported by and working collaboratively with the CYP Additional & Complex Needs Service Manager, Modern Matron and the Nurse Team Leaders for Special School Nursing and Children’s Packages of Care Team to ensure clinical development and governance across all three teams.

You will benefit from excellent management and peer support, opportunities to work alongside specialists, a personal and professional development plan. Caseload management and staff supervision skills will be developed within the role. A robust individual induction plan will be available.

To provide clear line management within the team, including the full range of first line management duties, including approval of annual leave, special leave, training, undertaking PDR, investigating and responding to complaints and dealing with first stage disciplinary and grievance issues.

To provide management supervision prompting a robust understanding of Service Line Business objectives.

To support training and development needs associated with the specialist areas of clinical practice within the Service Line.

To support and lead team transformation projects.

To work as part of a locality leadership and management team with in the Service Line.

To oversee comprehensive assessment of children and young people with complex presentations.

Provide leadership and supervision facilitating a culture of learning and reflective practice.
