Summary

This client is an established and expanding manufacturing company. They are looking to add to their manufacturing team and seek the following. Hours: - Mon-Thu 14:00-22:00, Fri 11:00-16:00

Salary up to 13.00ph

Roles and Responsibilities: -

Understand and perform all assigned production tasks utilizing all assembly techniques from Process instructions and
Process Sequence Charts relevant to the production area assigned.
Be aware of and follow the Quality Procedures relevant to the production area assigned and check / Audit the quality of the
product on a continual basis.
Achieve agreed targets as defined on the Production Monitoring Sheet in the assigned production area.
Complete all necessary documents relevant to the Production area to the required Company standard.
Clean and Check Equipment / Production area to the required Company Standard.

Roles and Responsibilities: -

Press tool changes and setting to achieve part to drawing specifications.
Provide technical support as and when needed.
In process quality checking, ‘first off’ process ensuring parts produced are of suitable standard.
Ensuring that all Press machines are running to their optimum settings.
SMED activities to make tool changing more efficient.
Kanban maintenance.
Lead TPM/tool maintenance as required.
Taking responsibility for safe assessment of lifting tackle and equipment and maintenance of correct tagging.
Ensuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained.
Ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines including appropriate use of PPE.
Conversion of the cells production programme into product in accordance with the production programme, achieving the
quality standards and the health and safety requirements.
Ensure standardised work practises are followed and takt times achieved.
Carry out first off and process start up verification activities and other quality checks required in the cell along with the
training of team members who are to carry out these checks where appropriate.
Identify the training needs of team members.
Train operatives to carry out attribute checking activities in accordance with the products quality plan.
Organise/perform equipment changeover and setting of processes.
Ensure that work areas are always kept clean and tidy and that there are no obstructions to the gangways.
Conduct risk assessments.
Respond to production problems raised by team members.
Investigate and problem solve equipment breakdown and organise/perform maintenance actions to keep production process
going where this can be done safely without maintenance recall.
Suggest/implement cost saving ideas.
Ensure that all team members are aware of, and work to, the company’s quality procedures.

Experience: -

2+ years’ experience
Crane License
Conversant with Pressing processes in high volume environment, 80-260 ton Press (manual and auto).
Knowledge of health and safety, COSHH etc.
Track record in production/process improvements within Press shop.
Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills across all areas.
Ability to work with colleagues and peers in a collaborative and respectful manner.
Press regulations.
