Summary

This is a part-time position, requiring 24 hours per week. You must have the legal right to work in the UK and be able to work over 20 hours per week.

Night shifts will be scheduled from 18:30 to 07:00, shifts to be worked across two nights per week.

Basic hourly rate - £11.90 per hour, up to £13.90 per hour with enhancement

A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply between the hours of 8pm and 7am, Monday to Sunday (excluding sleep-ins). Weekend shifts will receive a day enhancement of £2.00 per hour from 7am to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

At Godfrey Robinson House, located in North Ferriby, Humberside, we provide a home for 19 adults with physical and learning disabilities.

While not a requirement, having a driving licence would be beneficial for this role due to the location.

Experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or in a similar role is desirable but not essential. We offer an excellent training and induction programme for all new employees!

As a Support Worker at Leonard Cheshire, you will become part of an amazing team. Your daily responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with daily tasks such as personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
• Escorting and providing support during external events and appointments.
• Encouraging independence and helping individuals achieve their personal goals through our Person Centred approach.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Be able to work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
• Have experience with personal care (preferred but not required).
• Work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• Be flexible with your availability and willing to participate in an on-call rota when needed.
