Summary
The Recruitment Co are hiring a full time Chef for their public sector client based in Dundee.
Pay rate: £13.05 Per Hour
Location: Dundee
Contract: Ongoing temporary contract
Shifts: 37.5 hours per week - 5 days out of 7 - alternating early & mid shifts - weekend work involved
Early shift - 06.00-14.00
Mid shift - 10.00-18.00
Candidates must be able to provide 3 years of references with all gaps accounted for.
Duties:
- Prepare, cook and serve a wide range of dishes.
- Following various recipes.
- Plating up meals for service.
- Ensuring high standards are met maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
- Control of food safety and quality through continuous monitoring of food temperature.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records.
- Work within a team of kitchen staff.
Requirements
- SVQ Level 3 Catering (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of work procedures, practices and equipment for a catering service.
- The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
- The ability to follow and convey instructions.
- Effective communication skills.
- The ability to cope with work under pressure.
