Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Slate Roofer to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects across the Aberdeen area. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in slate roofing techniques and a passion for delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities:
Installation, repair, and replacement of slate roofing materials in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
Accurate measurement and cutting of slate tiles to ensure proper fit and alignment.
Thorough inspection of roofs for damage, leaks, and other issues, with the ability to recommend and implement appropriate solutions.
Safe working at heights using proper safety equipment and adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Effective collaboration with team members and supervisors to ensure timely project completion within budgetary constraints.
Maintenance of a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
Requirements:
Proficiency in slate roofing techniques, including installation, repair, and replacement.
Sound knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
