The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Health & Wellbeing Teaching Assistant with Forest Schools and Community Engagement Responsibilities.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and must also be able to show adaptability, initiative and patience. The successful candidate should enjoy working practically, including in the outdoors. The ability to contribute to the warm, caring, Christian ethos of the school is also essential.
The school’s recent Estyn inspection report highlights that “Pupils’ well-being and attitudes to learning are a clear strength of the school” and praised the “extensive range of wellbeing opportunities available, such as outdoor learning including in the forested area of the school.” Estyn 2022
The successful applicant will be:
● Committed to working as part of a team, sharing expertise and learning from others.
● Interested in hands-on experiences such as outdoor learning, cookery, cycling and forest schools.
● Resourceful, resilient, robust and empathetic.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
