Summary

We are looking to appoint an Administrator to work within the support team with the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs). Candidates must have administration skills with excellent communication and people skills, ideally with a good understanding of NHS healthcare systems and processes.

This is a 1 year post working full time 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing team to carry out a varied range of tasks to assist with the CNS workload in including managing phone calls, arranging blood tests, preparing documents for clinics, providing patients with information and general coordination of patient’s pathways. This position will require development of knowledge in a number of areas such as the diagnosis and treatment pathways of cancer patients, so would provide an opportunity to progress within the department over time as the administrator will be involved in all aspects of the departments work, learning all the relevant systems and processes and possibly supporting and working with the wider cancer services team such as the support workers and Allied Health Professionals.

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, must be reliable, well organised and able to work as part of a team or independently. It is essential that the successful candidate is keen to learn new skills.
