Summary
Workshop Engineer
Up to £15p/hr (£32,500p/a) DOE; DN3; M-F 8am-5:00pm (4.30pm finish on Fridays)
Workshop Engineer, duties:
Manufacturing machinery and parts for plant using workshop techniques
Setting and operating a range of machines including CNC laser (training can be given to the right person), waterjet and bending equipment, hydraulic press, wire machine and band saw.
Using engineering drawings to measure and mark material for shaping and bending
Plan the work required to complete the job, selecting appropriate machine and loading safely
Workshop Engineer, requirements:
Ideally you will have completed an apprenticeship or have an engineering qualification such as Mechanical Engineering level 1, 2 or 3 and rates of pay will depend on level and experience
Experience of using manual, semi-automated and automated tools and machines particularly hydraulic presses, wire machines and band saws
Experience of operating the laser machines (although training can be given)
You will have the ability to read engineering drawings and be able to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
Workshop Engineer, over view:
Our client design, manufacture and install manual handling equipment and are keen to strengthen their production team. The order books are full and there is long term development potential
Benefits include pay rate of up to £15p/hr (£32.5k) depending on experience and paid monthly
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm, finishing at 4.30pm on Fridays
Holidays: 20 plus stats increases to 25 plus stats over time
Pension: Company pension through NOW
