Summary

ENVIRONMENTAL ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - (Ref: B111)
Salary up to £36,209 pa

We are looking for a positive, approachable and enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills to join our multi-disciplinary environmental enforcement team.

Duties include investigating environmental crime such as fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles and other anti-social behavioural issues; gathering evidence, interviewing people, responding to customer concerns and taking appropriate action in order to achieve the desired outcome.

The successful applicant will have a background knowledge in environmental legislation; be able to communicate effectively with members of the public and to manage potentially confrontational situations.

Applicants must have a full, valid driving licence, GCSE level at grade C or above or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths and be computer literate. They must be totally committed to customer care and be able to deal with the public diplomatically in difficult situations without being intimidated.
