The London Stock Exchange Group Real Estate Department is tasked with ensuring that the Group's property strategy reflects the over-arching corporate objectives and that all operational premises are fit for purpose. However, as well as looking after the physical office environment, the department is also responsible for providing the services to that environment that enable staff to work as productively as possible.



Main Duties

Core responsibility will be focused on managing the Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC), providing support, training and development for the PSOC operatives across all of its workstreams, including Incident Management, intelligence monitoring and travel security management, in line with the Group Physical Security Policy and Physical Security Standards.



-PSOC Management: The post holder will be responsible for leading and supporting the PSOC including all aspects of the daily operational management, ensuring KPIs are met and consistently delivered, creation and development and training of Security Operational procedures.



-Intelligence and threat analysis: Activity research and analysis physical threat and intelligence topics that have potential to impact business operations.

Oversee PSOC's intelligence monitoring activities and work closely with the dedicated intelligence analyst to coordinate worksteams.



-Incident Management: Ensure that PSOC provides a consistent level of service when facilitating Incident Management response and that any changes or improvements to the process are implemented in a timely manner. This includes post-incident review process and continuous improvement.

-The post holder will also be expected to be part of the on-call rotation along with the wider management team.

-Ongoing liaison and coordination with the regional Security Leads and Security Operations Centres for incident management, Alarm monitoring, business continuity, including all aspects of cross-training.



-Travel security: The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that travel to high-risk destinations is appropriately risk assessed, mitigation put in place to treat identified risks, ensuring the traveller receives appropriate briefing and training from the third-party specialist travel risk provider. The person will also oversee PSOC activities around proactive traveller outreach.

Qualifications

Essential:

-Relevant security/risk management qualification

Desirable:

-Membership of a relevant professional body

PERSONAL SKILLS

-Communicator: The post holder will be a capable and confident communicator (written and verbal) - with the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels

-Business understanding: Demonstrate a grasp of balance between physical security and business requirements.

-Personality: A flexible and agile approach to often last-minute changes to requirements, a positive disposition and genuine can-do attitude is a definite requirement

-Organiser: Capable of implementing and maintaining innovative / modern business processes

SKILLS

-Intelligence analyst: Practical experience in research, analysing, monitoring and presenting on intelligence gathering.

-Security operator: An experienced security operator able to list previous incidents successfully dealt with in the course of duty.

-Security manager: Practical experience in general security management.

-Travel Security: Practical experience in Travel Security

-Policy and procedure: Merging confident operational knowledge with good written skills - a capable writer, able to succinctly convey requirements to security operations teams and general employees.

-Technology: A solid understanding of physical security technology, both hardware and software is a must-have, alongside slick use of the basic Microsoft Windows package.

-Seniority: Period of service in the security industry will not be regarded in isolation as indicative of capability for this role. However, the post holder will have carried out suitable roles for reasonable periods within the security discipline to be able to prove acceptable level of experience.
