Summary
Kitchen porter / General Assistant
• £11.50 per hour (Living wage and pension scheme)
• 15 Hours per week (minimun), 5 Mornings
• SHIFTS = 3ish Hours long
• HOURS = between 9am – 12noon (flexible)
• Fixed Term until November 3rd 2024. in the first instance.
• Ability to work Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays essential.
Recent experience in a similar role is preferred
Must adhere to company dress code.
You must be able to work in a professional, courteous, friendly and helpful manner. You should be able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks
• Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
• Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
• Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
• Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
• Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers
• Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items
• Providing assistance to staff, as needed
Applicants must be physically fit and reliable with the ability to work on their own initiative and maintain exceptional high standards.
The successful applicant will be subject to a Criminal Records check and a 2-week probationary period.
