Summary


The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and will attend these meetings, obtaining and recording relevant information and typing patient outcomes during the meeting. A key component to the job will be providing a single point of contact for clinicians referring into the MDT for these services and providing effective communication of MDT outcomes back to the referring clinician and any other interested parties.

You will work within local and national guidelines, network agreed referral protocols and any internal escalation policy.

The post holder will also assist in the tracking and escalating of patients on the HSC patient tracking list.



The post holder will be responsible for their workload and will be able to work without direct supervision and be an integral member of the Admin Team within Gynaecology.

The post holder will be required to:
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will need to liaise with staff at all levels associated with multi-disciplinary team working. Work well as part of a larger team as well as have the ability to work autonomously, be able to multi-task and be flexible in their approach.
• Facilitate the MDT meetings as well as the collection of data ensuring it is recorded on the appropriate database.
• Demonstrate attention to detail; exceptional organisational skills and be able to manage changing priorities as they arise, in a calm and professional manner to ensure the smooth running and efficient service.
• Have previous knowledge of working in a relevant hospital based role and have an understanding of clinical pathways and medical terminology
