Summary
Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to join our team at an SEN school. The primary responsibility of the Site Supervisor is to ensure the security, care, and availability of the building, furniture, fittings, and equipment, thereby maintaining a satisfactory physical environment conducive to the learning and development of SEN students.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Security
- Health and safety
- Porterage and Maintenance
- Grounds Maintenance
- Environmental Management
- Cleaning Responsibilities
- Transport/Vehicles
- Use of Facilities out of Hours
Essential Experience:
- Competent at basic DIY/building repairs and maintenance
- Proficient in the use of small electrical and mechanical equipment and hand/power tools
- Understanding and application of regulations in health & safety, manual handling, COSHH
- Experience in managing and minimising risk to self and others
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and pushing various equipment
- Good communication skills
- Confidence in IT skills
- Must be able to drive - non-negotiable
- DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Proven experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
