Summary


An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in the North Kensington and Chelsea Community Mental Health Hub. The hub is located in W9 with great transport links and serving a diverse population. The role is perfect for an Occupational Therapist with experience working in mental health wanting to broaden your skills in a community setting.

The post holder will be a valued member of the team and will offer Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for clients as well as supporting the overall work of the team by providing case work and some duty support.

The friendly and supportive team consists of medical staff, nurses, social workers, peer support workers, community navigators, arts therapies, employment specialists and psychology staff. There are two other Occupational Therapists in the team in and the post holder will co-facilitate some established groups as a part of the psychosocial offer of the hub and will have opportunity to use skills and creativity in developing further group interventions.

There are excellent training and development opportunities available within CNWL in addition to local in house CPD opportunities. Team supervision will be provided by a senior member of the MDT and professional supervision will be provided by the K&C Lead OT.

• To work as a Senior Occupational Therapist in Adult Community Mental Health providing a high quality service to clients.
• To provide OT assessment and intervention for clients under the care of the team.
• To provide home assessments for adapted equipment, support recommendations and for accommodation needs.
• To provide evidence based group interventions.
• To provide a case worker role for a designated number of clients with an occupational focus.
• To work within the multidisciplinary team and support the overall functioning of the team.
• To offer clinical placements to Occupational Therapy Students.
• To provide informal support and supervision to other staff as needed.

The team will provide you will a friendly welcome and full induction which includes shadowing opportunities and visits to services.
