Summary

We are looking for a committed individual who is willing to go the extra mile to take on our Community Footcare Assistant role. The individual will be providing a basic foot care service for people aged over 50.

Hourly rate: £11.44 per hour

Location: Northwest Kent and Medway

Hours: Zero-hours contract, flexibility across Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
Assess the footcare needs of clients referred to Age UK Kent Rivers.
Provide toenail cutting services with care and professionalism.
Ensure timely ordering and maintenance of toenail cutting equipment.
Offer advice on foot care and suitable footwear.
Work collaboratively to support the independence and well-being of clients.
Monitor client satisfaction and promote healthy lifestyles.
Maintain client relationships and confidentiality.
Complete necessary documentation and liaise with healthcare professionals.
Provide domestic support to service users in their own homes, where required to cover, carrying out tasks such as shopping and housework services; including (but not limited to) cleaning, cooking, washing up, washing, ironing, pet care (if applicable) etc.
Provide emotional support and companionship to service users in their own homes, where required to cover, e.g. keeping them company during the call.
Take on any other reasonable duties, within individual capability, to meet the needs of the organisation.

Requirements:
NVQ 2 qualification in Care preferred.
UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
Smartphone for work-related applications.
Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
Experience in care work, particularly with older people.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Dedication to Age UK Kent Rivers' values and expectations.
Resilience and adaptability to changing environments.
Attention to detail and proactive approach to client health concerns.
Initiative and commitment to ongoing professional development.
Knowledge of the local area and willingness to undertake mandatory training.
