Summary

Our fantastic client based in Quedgeley, Gloucester who are a thriving family-run business has a brand-new opportunity to join their team on a full time permanent basis as a HR Advisor.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a UK leading company with an excellent list of benefits. The successful candidate will be joining an already established HR team, and will further develop and maintain current and new HR processes and policies, with the view of becoming a key, trusted member of staff that managers and employees can turn to for considered advice on HR matters.

A CIPD qualification is not a necessity for this role, however, HR experience and a team-player attitude is absolutely essential.

This role will primarily be 80-90% office-based, with ad-hoc flexibility for some home working when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities;
-Provide advice to company managers on team issues such as grievances, disciplinaries, and wider HR procedures.
-Assist with employee relations and probationary period matters.
-Develop performance management plans when necessary.
-Assist with onboarding and inductions for both permanent and temp staff.
-Handle parental leave (maternity/paternity) matters.
-Coordinate health checks and vouchers.
-Monitor absence and attendance including employees on long-term sick leave.
-Assist with return-to-work processes.
-Keep HR policies and literature such as handbooks up to date.
-Support policy creation, implementation and training.
-Coordinate internal and external training for staff when necessary.
-Collaborate with Payroll Department to ensure timely paperwork submission
-Support wider HR team with project such as data collection tasks.
-Any associated HR paperwork, filing and administration.

Candidate Attributes;
-Previous HR experience, including managing multiple cases at a time.
-Knowledge of HR and employment legislation
-Proactive nature.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.

Hours; 8:30am – 5pm – Monday – Friday

Salary; £28,000 - £40,000, depending on experience + benefits including;
